A 4-week series consisting of four 75-minute classes. Ideal for beginners and perfect for anyone looking to refresh the fundamentals of their yoga practice.
 
Beginning with basics, these classes are designed to build a strong foundation and introduce the basics of yoga postures, alignment and language.
 
Week 1 : Yogic breathing, important exercises and the appropriate approach to yoga. We will learn the importance of proper breathing and how to work with both physical and mental stress.
 
Week 2 : Sun Salutations.  We will learn the foundational poses that comprise a basic Sun Salutation. A great way to start each day!
 
Week 3 : Understanding basic postures and their benefits. We will learn how to safely transition in and out of poses and what the benefits are.
 
Week 4 :Review – We will review and re-visit many of the postures and practices we covered in the 4 previous weeks and have one last group practice together.
 
This series provides:

  • Experiential learning with an opportunity for individual attention.
  • The opportunity to ask questions about yoga postures and learn about the importance of breathing.
  • An introduction to postures so you can experience the benefits of a yoga practice.
  • An introduction to alignment to prevent injuries.
